Description
For these pieces, I was tasked with creating a pliable combination of type and image from an ordinary object, in this instance, a typewriter.
Challenge
Highlight what a typewriter is known for and create a synergy around that with the accompanying type.
Complying with the industrial revolution’s ideas, the poster from its earliest inception sought to invoke a sense of technological advancement prevalently displayed during the era. Finding a balance in applying the older device to more modern techniques of design was essential in highlighting the progression of the device and its capabilities since its creation.

Solution
Each piece focuses on a specific aspect of the typewriter. The first one focuses on the object's innovation, showcasing the typewriter’s expansive printability through accompanying vectors and angled poses.
Vectorized images for a modernized style and feel
Blue for the color of technology, and to be pleasant to the viewer
Perspectively angled outward to showcase progression, movement, and connection to the viewer
City landscape on paper to show an aspect of development and societal encompassment

Every Detail Precisely Pressed
The final variation of the design chosen had many elements depicting a greater range of involvement and significance between the viewer’s perception and the piece itself, ultimately leading to its selection and subsequent refinement.
